A number of sheep were attacked and left badly injured in Co Tipperary.
The sheep were found in a highly distressed state on Monday morning in the townland of Ballywalter in Mullinahone.
Imelda Goldsboro, a Fianna Fáil councillor for the area, posted a number of pictures of the sheep and appealed for information about the attack.
Such were the distressing nature of the photos, Goldsboro said some could not be shown.
She said there had been sheep killed and a number had to be put down following the attack.
She asked that anyone with information contact their local Garda station.
