A 98-acre farm situated in Milltown, Newcastle, Co Dublin, with some of the land zoned industrial, is currently for sale by public tender and is being handled by selling agents DNG, Dublin. The land is described as “excellent-quality agricultural land”, but its location within 15km of Dublin city centre is the major selling point.

The land is situated adjacent to Grange Business Park and has frontage onto the R120, which links the Peamount Road at Newcatle to the M4 at Lucan. A new link road is planned between Grange Castle Business Park and Greenogue Business Park, which will traverse alongside a section of the land, giving it major development potential in the future.

Approximately 28 acres of the land have already been zoned industrial by South Dublin County Council, while the remaining 70 acres are agricultural in use. The land is currently in tillage and grass.

Selling agent Gemma Lanigan said the land will demand a premium price because of the industrial zoning already in place and the farm will be “a medium to long-term investment play” for the buyer. DNG believes the 70 acres zoned for agricultural use will have further development potential down the line. The land in Milltown is for sale by public tender and submissions must be made before 5pm on Friday, 12 December. Land in the area has attracted prices anywhere in the region of €25,000/acre, but the development potential of this farm could see it sell for a substantially higher price than that. CL
