Donald Trump’s main agricultural adviser has spent $1.51m (€1.33m) on a record-breaking Angus bull named America.
Charles Herbster, who chairs Trump’s agriculture and rural advisory committee, owns Herbster Angus Farms in Nebraska that bought the bull from Schaff Angus Valley (SAV).
SAV America 8018, which was sired by SAV President 6847, weighed 1,107lb (502kg) and broke SAV’s farm record for weight gain by 205 days of age.

Deal
Under the $1.5m deal, Schaff Angus Valley will retain 20% of the semen rights while Herbster Angus will be entitled to the remaining 80%.
