Two livestock boats will load with cattle over the coming days for export to Turkey and Libya.

A boat is due to arrive at Greenore port on Saturday evening. It will be loaded by Co Meath-based Viastar with weanling beef bulls for delivery to Turkey. The feeder weight cattle will be finished on Turkish farms.

A second boat arrives on Monday and will be loaded with Friesian and beef-bred bulls by Purcell Brothers for delivery to Libya. These bulls will mainly go for finishing on Libyan farms.
