Farmers and crofters have started to receive payments from the Less Favoured Areas Support Scheme (LFASS) this week.

The Scottish Government have processed more than 7,000 payments which are worth more than £42.8m.

Loan offers and payments will continue to be issued over the coming weeks.

The payments offer support to farmers and crofters by providing some financial security and enabling them to invest for the rest of the year.
