Aldi stores throughout Ireland have expanded their service to bring students to and from their nearest Aldi for free – expected to run at all third-level campuses by the end of 2015. The service was first offered to students at Sligo IT last year, the free bus trips soon proved popular enough for the German giant to expand the scheme to a further six campuses. As of now, Aldi is running buses for students from UCD, Trinity, Limerick and DCU, and is planning on opening a new service from Dundalk IT in the next week. The service operates by collecting students from their campus and offers them two bus runs to their nearest Aldi store.
