Curtis Magee Fanfayre time in Coleraine

The Curtis Magee Fanfayre takes place in The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, from Sunday 23 to Wednesday 26 June. The event, hosted by the popular showman and entertainer, is now in its 14th year and Curtis has once again a big line-up for the celebration party.

“The Fanfayre has many regular patrons who love it so much that they come back year after year as they always have a cracking good time. We have people from all over Ireland and the UK and they love these special few days in Coleraine and around this region,” says Curtis.

Among the folks who will be joining Curtis on stage over the four nights are Johnny Fingers McHugh, Owen Mac, Lisa McCrory, the Barry Doyle Duo, Hugo Duncan, Gary Gamble, Boxcar Brian, Country Harmony, Olivia Douglas, David James, Michael Mawhinney and well-known Elvis impersonator Andy Elvis Rodgers.

Curtis will also be joined by his daughters Natasha and Shannon for the Fanfayre Farewell Party on the Wednesday night (26 June). The resident compére for the event is comedian Gary Wilson.

A feature of the Fanfayre ventures organised by Curtis is the goodwill of the patrons who contribute to a selected fund-raiser each year. A cheque for £2,000 was presented to the Mountfern Special Needs Centre in Coleraine last year while the chosen beneficiary this year is Causeway Community Search and Rescue.

Dancing is from 9pm to 1am and all nights are open to the public with £10 admission payable at the door. Further details in relation to the nightly line-ups can be had from The Lodge Hotel in Coleraine or by checking the Curtis Magee page on Facebook.
