In recent years, we are being subjected to a one-sided debate insisting that global warming is totally man-caused and this claim is being used as a “soft” excuse to levy additional taxes on a defenceless public. Meanwhile, those of us who are creating the vital antidote, through our afforestation programme, are not receiving an adequate financial reward relative to our contribution to global cooling.
The debate on formulating the provision for a proper realistic payment for afforestation is long overdue.
