Favourite image: I love the “5 ways with a little black dress” fashion shoot. Everyone has their go-to LBD for the festive season and this shoot shows black is anything but boring.

Favourite feature: My favourite feature is the one on the alpacas at Hushabye Farm. It is such a unique idea and the MacDonnells love their animals like they are family.

Favourite feature: I’m possibly being biased when I say I love our feature on Myrtle Allen. It was great to discover the first ever recipe she shared with readers of the Farmers Journal over 61 years ago – raspberry jam. Little did Myrtle know that first column was the start of something special.

Favourite image: I love the photo of Claire Nash with a tray of mince pies in front of her AGA. On a shelf above the AGA dinner plates and tea towels are being kept nice and warm. It’s a really cosy looking scene.

Favourite image: Forget the big Christmas dinners, I love the festive nibbles, and our new chef Sophie Morris has got a selection of canapés that simply look amazing. From mini Yorkshire puddings with rare sirloin steak, to prawn satay skewers, you’ll be saying: What turkey?

Favourite feature: Let’s not lie ladies, we all have a pair of Bridget Jones pants hidden in our underwear drawer. However, this edition’s fashion feature shows you can really combine shapewear and sexiness. This is underwear that makes you look and feel great.

Mary Phelan

Favourite image: I love the photo of the dogwood plant in Gerry Daly’s gardening feature. It looks so exotic. It’s a picture of Ireland in winter but it reminds me of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef!

Favourite feature: I think the “Why am I so tired?” feature is very practical. I’ve heard so many people complain about being tired. They get very frustrated if there’s no obvious reason for it, and hopefully this article will help them out.

Aisling Hussey

Favourite image: Mary Kennedy on the front cover. It’s very classy and I think it’s our best cover yet. She looks beautiful and very stylish... I want to know her secret.

Favourite feature: I love reading Maria Moynihan’s column. I love her wit and I always end up laughing or crying reading it.

Maria Moynihan

Favourite feature: I adore designer Clare Jordan’s quirky style and I loved reading how she built her dream home – having started out with little more than the door knocker. I especially love her approach to the importance of making use of beautiful things. As Clare says: “We don’t postpone joy in this house.” That’s a motto we could all do well to adopt.

Favourite image: Catherine Fulvio’s gingerbread blondies and cranberry, hazelnut and chocolate bars have sent my pre-Christmas diet plans askew already.
