With Agritechnica just around the corner, Argo Tractors has announced a new model in its X7 range – the X7.624 VT-Drive. With an increase in engine power to 240hp, the new model is the largest in the X7.6 VT-Drive series. The other models in the range are also transitioning to meet the new Stage V emission regulations.

There is a new bonnet design, in line with the X8 family styling and a new roof design, with 12 working lights that have been repositioned. The arrangement of the controls on the armrest has also been revised.

The X7.6 range is equipped with a six-cylinder, 6.7l Beta Power engine. The X7.624 delivers a maximum torque of 983Nm at 1,400 rpm with the Power Plus system. The Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system is combined with the Diesel Oxidation Catalyser (DOC) to meet Stage V regulations.

It’s fitted with a four-stage continuously variable VT-Drive transmission, with four speed ranges going from a minimum of 0.04km/h to a maximum of 50km/h.

The X7.624 is compatible with satellite guidance and the Isobus system that connects the tractor, implements and on-board computer. McCormick’s fleet management system provides geofencing, data on the worked area, telemetry and geo-positioning.
