DEAR SIR: Regarding the letter dated 24 June 2017 “Arrogant next door neighbour vulture” from S Molloy, Midlands. How right is he about greedy farmers, ie. neighbours. I and many others have seen the same happen here in Co Mayo. A farm was forced for sale – what went on by so called “well-off” farmers, neighbours, and the way the moved on to the farm which was in a different location was a disgrace. These same people are the ones that are up doing the readings and giving out Holy Communion in the church. They said someone else would have bought the lands. Other neighbours, who are also farmers, were asked to buy the lands but they refused to do so – fair play to them. I say lands bought like that are never lucky.
