The Irish Farmers Journal will host the first and only debate of agricultural and rural issues this Thursday (18 February) live on www.farmersjournal.ie. It is a general election special edition of Around the Editor’s Table.

The participants are Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney for Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil’s Éamon Ó Cuív, Labour’s Michael McNamara and Sinn Féin’s Martin Ferris. Tune in to www.farmersjournal.ie from 7.45pm on to hear what the politicians have to say on the issues that affect you as farmers.

Have politicians done enough for the dairy, beef, sheep or tillage sectors? Are farm incomes too low? Is the CAP or RDP doing enough for farmers? You can join the debate and put your questions to the politicians by emailing agdebate@farmers journal.ie, by text 086-8366465, on Snapchat and on Twitter through the hashtag #ifjdebate.

The meeting will be chaired by Irish Farmers Journal editor Justin McCarthy.
