DEAR SIR:

Having read the letter from A Collins in last week’s Irish Farmers Journal, I came away thinking when did farmers become so disingenuous and intolerant and to suggest that farmers are lazy? As a retired farmer I assume he is a mature man with the wisdom of the years. I find Mr Potterton a jaunty, good humoured writer and there is no need to get nasty over such difference of approaches to one’s work.
