Farmers who still have land details to finalise should ensure that they get their 2025 BISS application submitted by the deadline of 15 May 2025 and avail thereafter of the amendment facility.
With winter and spring crops in excellent condition, there is unlikely to be pressure on straw supply this year, and no baling assistance payment will be introduced.
The approval of the proposals by the EU Commission and its adoption in to law on 30 April 2025 means that farmers must abide by the legislation to receive BISS payment.
