Gardaí have told the Irish Farmers Journal that officers from Ramelton are investigating a two-vehicle collision between a tractor and a car that took place at 2pm on Monday.

The crash happened on a dangerous bend at Tullyhall near Ramelton, Co Donegal.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

There have been a number of road collisions involving tractors this summer. This month alone, a bus crashed into a trailer drawn by a tractor in Newtownards, Co Down; a motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a tractor in Bushmills, Co Antrim; and a passenger died after the tractor he was travelling in left the road in Drumbo, Co Down.

Last month, a man was killed and two teenagers injured when their van hit a tractor near Buttevant, Co Cork.
