Monday will be quite warm and humid, Met Éireann has said, with the eastern half of the country remain mostly dry, with some hazy sunshine.

However, it will be mostly cloudy elsewhere, with showery rain developing in places, mainly in west Munster, Connacht and west Ulster, but a few showers may develop in other areas later.

Maximum temperatures will range from 18°C to 22°C, in mostly light to moderate southeast breezes.

Monday night is forecast to be mild and humid, with some showers in places and temperatures of 13°C to 16°C.

Tuesday

Met Éireann has said that Tuesday will be warm, humid and mostly cloudy with scattered showers.

The showers will be mainly over the western half of the country and the best of any sunny intervals will be in the east. Highest temperatures will range from 18°C to 23°C, the warmest of which will be in Leinster, with light variable breezes.

Wednesday

Wednesday will continue mild and mostly cloudy, with showery rain in places, with some bright intervals.

Highest temperatures will range from 16°C in the northeast to 21°C or 22°C in the midlands and west, with mostly light easterly breezes.

Thursday

Thursday will be a bit cooler than previous days, but Leinster and Ulster will be largely dry with sunny spells.

Munster and Connacht will be cloudier with a good deal of dry weather and some showers, mainly in the west.

Highest temperatures will range from 15°C to 20°C, with light easterly breezes. It will be coolest in the east and northeast and warmest in the west.

Friday

Friday will be dry in many areas, with bright or sunny spells. However, rain will develop in the west later in the day and spread eastwards, becoming light and patchy as it does so.

Highest temperatures will range between 14°C and 18°C, with mostly light breezes.

Current indications from Met Éireann suggest that Saturday will be mainly dry, but rain will move in from the northwest on Sunday.
