Short sunny spells are expected in the east today but in all, a cloudy outlook is predicted for the country.

It will be dry apart from a few spots of drizzle or light rain - these mainly in the south and southwest. Highest temperatures ranging from 16°C in the northwest to between 18°C and 21°C in the midlands and south. Moderate southwest breezes.

It will be dry this evening and for much of tonight. Patchy drizzle or light rain will arrive later tonight. Lowest temperatures of 9°C to 12°C. Light southwest winds.

Tuesday

A few short sunny spells will be seen tomorrow, especially in the east. It will be mainly dry with a chance of a little light rain in places. Light south west winds. Highest temperatures 18°C to 22°C.

The week ahead

Tuesday night will be cloudy with rain. The rain will be quite continuous, and heavy in parts of the north and west for a while.

Wednesday will have a cloudy start in the east with rain for a while. Clearer and mainly dry conditions elsewhere will follow to all places with sunny spells.

Thursday will be mainly dry with settled weather set to become established. The day will be rather cloudy, but dry with light winds. Temperatures will be in the mid to high teens.

Friday will be a dry day countrywide with light variable winds. Variable cloud and warm sunny spells.
