In a bid to raise awareness about Organ Donation, An Post launched it’s special national postage stamp in correlation with Organ Donation Awareness Week which took place from 30 March-6 April, and the stamp continues to be available nationwide. The Organ Donors Save Lives stamp, aims to remind people in Ireland about the lifesaving ability of being an organ donor.

Zero-G created the stamp which features an hourglass timer, highlighting the delicacy of time and the ability to give life to another through organ donation. The stamp can be scanned by smart devices such as iPhones through the use of Cee App and users will then be redirected to the web page, www.hse.ie/organ-donation.

Donor cards can also be purchased in An Post offices nationwide. The postal service has been working with HSE’s Organ Donation Transplant Ireland, to remind Irish people to have the important conversation with their loves ones about their wishes in regards to being an organ donor.
