The organisers of the Farm Safety Live event in Tullamore Show on Sunday 12 August, are hoping that every farmer takes home at least one valuable safety tip that will make their farm work environments safer.
Events on the day will focus on key areas such as livestock handling, quad bike operations, working from heights and machinery.

Last week marked the sixth annual Farm Safety Week, and the Farm Safety Live event is being launched by Mairead McGuinness MEP, who emphasised that statistics around farm accidents and fatalities are unacceptably high.
“What lies behind each statistic is a farming family devastated and left to live with the aftermath,” McGuinness said.
