Manitou MLA-T

The Manitou MLA-T is set to make its Irish debut at the National Ploughing Championships next week.

The French-built telescopic machine is equipped with a 4.1l, four-cylinder Deutz engine with a power rating of 143hp. This engine is Tier 4 Final/Stage IV compliant.

The telescopic arm has a maximum reach of 5.2m (17.1ft) with a lifting capacity of 3,300kg.

The machine has an unladen weight of 8,430kg and a nimble turning radius of 4.2m. The turning radius is achieved through the 44° articulation to either side of the machine.

The rear axle has the ability to swivel 9.5° to either side to maintain contact with the ground.

It is equipped with an M-Vario Plus continuous variable transmission (CVT) with a top speed of 40km/h. This transmission comprises two hydraulic motors with axial pistons powered by a hydraulic pump. It has two driving modes, one for handling material and the other for travelling on the road.

Depending on the specifications required by the user, the telescopic articulated loader can be purchased with different finish levels.

Starting off with the classic, before moving to the premium package, and lastly the elite.

Venieri 8.63TL

The Venieri 8.63TL telescopic loader.

The all-new Venieri 8.63TL telescopic loader will be making its Irish debut at this year’s National Ploughing Championships. The Italian-built machine will be showcased by Irish importer McCarthy Plant and Agri Sales, which is based in Cork.

The telescopic wheel loader is powered by a four-cylinder common rail water-cooled Deutz engine. The TCD 3.6l engine is capable of producing 136hp, using EGR, DOC and SCR to meet the latest emission regulations.

It has a 160-litre diesel tank and a 26 litre AdBlue tank.

The new machine is fitted with Venieri’s own electronic powershift transmission which has six automatic forward speeds and three automatic reverse speeds, with a maximum speed of 40km/h.

The loader is four-wheel drive with a planetary final drive on each wheel. It has a fixed rigid drive axle on the front chassis with a movable drive axle on the rear chassis of up to 18°.

The machine is very nimble with a steering angle of 90°, granting the loader a turning radius of 4.3m. The machine has hydraulic multi-disc oil brakes on the front and rear axles.

When the telescopic arm is fully extended, the machine has a total reach from ground level to the bottom of the euro quick hitch of 5.47m (17.95ft).

Doosan DL220-5

Adare Farm Machinery is set to unveil the Doosan DL220-5 agricultural wheel loader to the public for its debut on Irish soil at the upcoming National Ploughing Championships.

According to Adare Farm Machinery, this is the first of a new series of dedicated agri loaders from the Doosan brand, which is well-known for building large quarry and construction wheel loaders and excavators.

The new DL220-5 wheel loader is powered by a six-cylinder common rail Doosan DL06 engine with a rated power of 160hp. This engine is Tier 4-compliant using DOC and SCR. The loader is fitted with a 222l diesel tank.

The DL220-5 loader is equipped with automatic power-shift torque converter transmission. This transmission is fitted with four gears and three drive modes.

Operators have the option to choose from three different power modes depending on the specific job conditions in order to help reduce fuel consumption.

These include power mode, normal mode and economy mode. The loader has an operational weight of 12,420kg.

The standard lift arm has maximum reach height of 3.86m (12.7ft), while the higher lift option can reach heights of 4.3m (14.2ft).

The ride control option cushions the lift arm while travelling over rough terrain or while in transport on the road, a desirable option for the Irish market

Another nice feature in the wheel loader is the auto idle function, which automatically reduces the engine rpm to standby idle a few seconds after the steering wheel, gearshift control lever and accelerator cease movement, thus increasing fuel economy.

The wheel loader provides the optional extra of “ride control”.

This cushions the lift arm while travelling over rough terrain or while in transport on the road, a desirable option for the Irish market.

JCB

The new JCB 403 Agri.

ECI is set to showcase JCB’s all-new 403 compact wheeled loader at this year’s National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore. The compact machine is fitted with a 36hp Kubota engine, which falls into the <37kW power category and therefore meets EU emission legislation without the need for any engine after-treatment.

The revamped compact wheel loader is fitted with a two-speed Bosch Rexroth hydraulic transmission and ZF axles. The machine is fitted with a moving centre joint allowing the four wheels to adjust to the ground conditions.

The redesigned wheel loader measures under 2.2m in height and 1.1m in width (in the narrowest configuration), granting it access to small operating environments. The machine has a compact wheelbase and steering articulation of 45°.

Operators can select either a 20km/h or 30km/h top speed when ordering the machine.

The compact loader is fitted with a 48-litre fuel tank located in the front chassis. The hydraulic pump provides a constant flow of up to 40 litres/min for attachments. An auxiliary control lever can be used to cut off the hydraulic flow if desired.

JCB 527-58

ECI will also be displaying the new JCB 527-58 loadall on its stand at this year’s event.

The new telehandler is powered by JCB’s EcoMAX T4F/Stage IV engine which delivers 109hp (81kW) of power and 516Nm of torque.

To meet the latest emission targets, JCB has gone with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system instead of after-treatments such as diesel particulate filters (DPFs).

The telescopic handler is equipped with three steering modes. A two-wheel steer for general use, four-wheel steer for working in restricted areas, and crab steer for specific positioning.

The loadall is fitted with JCB’s Smoothride System (SRS), which increases operator comfort while on the road or in rough terrain.

The JCB 527-58.

The 527-58 Agri Plus is fitted with the hydrostatically driven Varispeed transmission as standard. This new feature has a top speed of up to 40km/h.

Another new feature is the sizeable 500-hour service interval.

A range of safety features have been built into the new handler including the seat safety switch that disables forward and reverse controls if the operator leaves his/her seat to the redesigned low-boom profile and low-boom pivot, which have improved visibility towards the rear of the machine.

Merlo Turbofarmer TF33.7

The new Merlo TF33.7 Turbofarmer.

Tipperary-based firm, McHale Plant Sales, is to showcase a range of Merlo telehandlers at its stand at this year’s event. This will include the Merlo Turbofarmer TF33.7 telescopic loader.

The Italian-built loader is powered by a 3.6l, 122hp Tier 4 engine. It is equipped with a two-speed hydrostatic transmission that has a top speed of 40km/h.

The machine has an unladen weight of 6,500kg with a lift capacity of 3,300kg.

The telescopic arm has an impressive lifting height of 6.7m (almost 23ft). The loader is just over 2m high and 2.1m wide.

The telescopic loader has three steering modes, front-wheel steering, four-wheel steering and cab steering.

The loader has also been equipped with a new cab where comfort was put to the forefront. This also includes a new air-conditioning system.
