The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) will be kicking off a regional tour across Scotland later this month to meet with members and update them on the charity’s activities.

Key staff and local directors will visit 10 venues in October and November to hear from members and stakeholders about their work and the Highland Show.

Key initiatives

The aim of the events is to understand what people value about being a member of RHASS, how to get involved, as well as updating attendees on key initiatives such as grants and awards, its support of RHET and the new members’ area, Quadrant One, which is on track for completion prior to the 2020 Royal Highland Show.

It will also give members of RHASS an opportunity to come together and discuss topics with the RHASS team in their home regions.

Beginning in Strathclyde on 23 October and ending on 14 November in Stirling, the events will start at 7.30pm and last around two hours. To register, visit www.rhass.org.uk/news.

RHASS chair Bill Gray said of the tour: “It is really important to the RHASS team that we meet with members on their own turf and take the time to understand what’s important to them.

"Our members are the lifeblood of the society and their views will shape our future direction in line with our charitable remit. I am very much looking forward to meeting as many people as possible over the next couple of months.”
