Tirlán has left milk prices unchanged for November at 55.05c/l excluding VAT for milk delivered at 3.6% fat and 3.3% protein.

The price quoted above is unchanged on the price paid since September and is inclusive of the processor’s agri-input support payment and sustainability action top-up.

Tirlán suppliers are in line to receive 3.8c/l excluding VAT seasonality payment for all non-contracted supplies received in December, January and February.

The co-op has not moved its milk price despite its chair, John Murphy, saying the market is not returning this price.

“Market returns are below the current farmgate milk price but the board has chosen to support milk price at the current level for November,” Murphy said when announcing the November price.

“Milk supplies have increased in certain regions but high farm input costs and environmental factors will mitigate growth levels. The board will continue to monitor developments on a monthly basis.”

Suppliers have been asked to register their sustainability actions through their Tirlán FarmLife account to secure this bonus for 2023.
