Germinal Northern Ireland has announced it intends to close its Banbridge production site during late 2021, as the grass and forage seed company looks to re-consolidate Irish and UK operations.

It comes after significant investment has been made at its automated packaging site in Tipperary, and at Germinal’s 4ha production and distribution facility based outside Lincoln in England.

NI staff will relocate to a new head office in Belfast, where the company previously operated up until 1975.
