Cork-based dairy co-op Dairygold has completed a reshuffle of its senior management team working under CEO Jim Woulfe.

Eamon O’Sullivan is returning to Dairygold where he will take up the position as general manager of the co-op’s Dairy Ireland business. O’Sullivan, who had previously worked as supply chain manager for Dairygold, has spent the last seven years working as chief operating officer for pharmaceuticals giant Novartis.

Tim Healy has been appointed as Dairygold’s new chief operations officer, while Chris Edge will take on an expanded role as general manager of Dairygold’s business in the UK and Europe.

Conor Galvin will take on a new role as chief growth officer for Dairygold – which will include oversight of Dairygold’s newly established value creation and innovation unit.

Michael Harte and Liam O’Flaherty will continue as chief financial officer and general manager of agribusiness.

The reshuffle is part of a wider business review in the co-op, which includes a voluntary severance or early retirement scheme for staff.

As it prepares for the next decade of milk supply growth, which will be at a more modest level of 2.6% per annum to reach 1.6bn litres by 2025, Dairygold is planning a more incremental approach to capacity investments with the help of member funding support, likely through the popular loan note scheme.

Dairygold will hold a virtual AGM for farmer shareholders in late October.
