Elphin Mart cancelled Wednesday’s sale and also cancelled next Monday evening’s sale following a mart customer being confirmed as a close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.

The mart took the decision following advice from the HSE.

Speaking to the Irish Farmers Journal Elphin Mart’s Gerry Connellan said: “The mart committee and I took the decision to cancel the next two sales in the interest of the health and safety of our staff and customers.

“We plan to run the next sale on Wednesday 28 April, all going well,” he said.
