A colossal 94kg (208lb) Simmental-cross heifer was delivered via caesarean section in Canada on Monday 18 March.

A vet at the Westlock Veterinary Center in Alberta, Canada, managed to get the calf out and reportedly both dam and calf are doing well.

It’s unknown if the calf was overdue, but neither the cow or the sire had a history of large progeny on this scale.
