Individual cuts or gains under the new Basic Payment Scheme system have been uploaded onto each farmer’s agfood online account. The statements will be posted out to farmers from tomorrow (Wednesday, 25 February).

The statement outlines the definitive number and value of entitlements to be issued under the 2015 Basic Payment Scheme. The number of entitlements allocated is determined by the number of eligible hectares declared in 2013, but this could change if farmers submit lower entitlements in 2015.

The value of entitlements allocated is based on a fixed percentage of the value of Single Payment Scheme entitlements owned in 2014 and any payment received under the 2014 Grassland Sheep Scheme.

The statement also shows the greening payments which farmer must comply under the BPS terms and conditions to receive.

Farmers who feel the statement does not accurately reflect their position can seek a review by submitting an Entitlements Review application. This is available on the Department's online facility at www.agfood.ie or alternatively, on the Department's website.

Queries on eligibility and entitlements can be made to reviewofentitlements@agriculture.gov.ie or Lo Call 0761 064 447, while greening queries should be directed to greening@agriculture.gov.ie or Lo Call 0761 064 424.
