Farmers should note if they are planning a building project they must have full planning permission granted before a TAMS II application can be made. The planning permission process takes approximately five months.
The typical turnaround for payments after a payment application is made is approximately two months, but has been known to take longer. In total, 17,623 farmers made a TAMS II application, over 7,500 payment applications were submitted and 6,637 of those received a payment. The total amount paid in the scheme so far is €96.9m.
