An agreement was reached between IFA representatives, on behalf of the landowners, and BAM.

All the landowners affected will be contacted within seven days. And a schedule of works to resolve outstanding issues will be agreed.

John Murphy, Wexford IFA grain chair, who was one of the negotiators, expressed the hope that this will finally see the many issues that have emerged over several months properly resolved.

"We hope that no further direct action will be required," he said.

Meanwhile, the Deacon family who erected a road block a week ago, starting the current chain of events, are in discussions with BAM. Their road block remains in place.
